PANSTADIA - FAEL LUCE LIGHTS UP ESTADIO METROPOLITANO

This new state-of-the-art stadium, together with the stadiums in Cali, Medellin (lighted by Fael LUCE) and Bogotà, should have hosted Copa America 2021 matches.

Fael LUCE has completed the installation of a new lighting system at Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez, commonly known as Estadio Metropolitano in Barranquilla, Colombia.
The official stadium of the national football team of Colombia, with a capacity of 50,000 people, hosted a match between Colombia and Argentina for 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification and will host the Panamerican Games in 2027.
The large project installation of the new LED lighting system involved the diamond tip: the high-power floodlight LEDMASTER ONE (in the symmetric version) integrated with DMX and DALI lighting control systems.
In addition, the new floodlights, LEDMASTER ONE JUST integrated with DMX as well, were supplied in order to offer a top lighting performance.
LEDMASTER ONE has customised and innovative optics, specially designed by Fael LUCE’s R&D department, which allowed an unprecedented glare-free lighting quality, for both players and audience, without forgetting the achievement of high-level lighting uniformity for HDTV broadcasts.
With DMX and DALI control systems, Fael LUCE transformed the way fans and spectators experience performances.
With DALI it is possible to set various lighting scenarios based on the sporting event and, if necessary, make adjustments in real time based on atmospheric conditions. With DMX it is also possible to adjust both the luminous intensity of the luminaires and create lighting tricks, enabling stadium spectators to enjoy new lighting interactions and experiences.
Thanks to this technological upgrade, the new lighting system allows Club Deportivo Popular Atlético Junior to reach a significant energy efficiency, saving more than 40% in energy consumption.
The lighting solution included the entire project management and project execution, from lighting concept to production, and from delivery to installation.

Luciano Parravicini, CEO of Fael LUCE, said:
<< We are proud to have had the opportunity to light up one of the most important stadiums in South America with our lighting solutions 100% Made in Italy. Thanks to our half-century of lighting expertise, Fael LUCE was able to meet the client’s needs and we are pleased to see the prestigious Estadio Metropolitano shine in a new and modern light. We are sure that, thanks to this considerable component of innovation, this stadium will be a reference point for all the other South American stadiums.>>

This new state-of-the-art stadium, together with the stadiums in Cali, Medellin (lighted by Fael LUCE) and Bogotà, should have hosted Copa America 2021 matches.
