The ports that fall under the name of “Ports of Rome” are the ports of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta all three located in Lazio Region, in Italy.
The Port of Civitavecchia is one of the biggest cruise ports in the world. It welcomes more than 2,300,000 passengers per year due to its close proximity to the city of Rome. The other two ports record in the last years a significant increase of goods and passengers transport.
Due to this expansion the three ports needed a restyling and a modernization of the entire lighting system. The Port Authority asked for products that light up only where it was needed and with the right power, in fully compliance with the UNI EN 12464-2 standard which governs outdoor workplace lighting regulations. In addition the new lighting system had to reduce energy consumption and enhance security at the same time.
LEDMASTER ONE was the product that perfect suited all this requests.

A SMART AND INNOVATIVE SOLUTION

LEDMASTER ONE, with customized PROFESSIONAL asymmetric optic system dedicated to lighting large areas, replaced the previous discharge lamps on the existing high mast towers.
Furthermore in order to prevent accidents and create a safe environments for goods and people, the whole port system needed an high level of visibility, focused only in areas where it is needed.
Fael LUCE offered a turnkey lighting solution that integrates the WISE SYSTEM, a wireless and interconnected IoT solution for digital lighting management.
WISE SYSTEM-SMART4PRO allowed the management of LEDMASTER ONE with DALI system via Wi-Fi, in order to achieve energy savings thanks to the regulation based on the contribution of natural light and time schedules.
The new lighting system perfectly met the Authority requirements, ensuring high visibility and an excellent improvement in energy efficiency with a consequent reduction in costs and light pollution.
