 STAR is a street lighting luminaire of easy maintenance for the lighting of roads, residential areas, parks and open spaces. The bi-power system equipped in this fixture is an optimal method to obtain energy savings up to 45%, also guranteeing levels of constant illuminances. The system consists in a power supply with one added impendance, in a control relay, in the capacitor and ignitor (only for high pressure sodium lamps).
When high illuminance levels are requested, the lamp works in standard conditions. When it's necessary to reduce the power used, the relay acts on the power supply impendance which reduces the lamp current, the absorbed power and the luminous flux.
Technical characteristics
Cover made in aluminium pressed sheet, coated with polyester powders in silver colour.
Body in die cast aluminium coated with polyester powders in black colour.
Reflector made of a highly pure (99.8%) aluminium pressed sheet, polished and oxidized, semi cut-off or cut-off light out put.
Installation on max 60 mm. diam. top entry pole and on max 60 mm. diam. side entry pole.
Non-degenerative rubber gasket.
Porcelain lampholder, with focusing device.
The flat tempered glass bowl, hinged to the fitting‘s body for STAR VP.
Clear U.V. resistant polycarbonate bowl, injection made with an antifalling system, hinged to the fitting’s body for STAR PC.
The opening and the access to the luminaire‘s optic is allowed acting on the 2 fore steel retaining clips painted in black colour.
The control gear plate, made out of a galvanized steel sheet, is complete with connectors which allow its quick disassembly during maintenance operations.
The street lighting is manufactured according to EN 60598/1 rules, for power 230V - 50Hz.
