FAEL LUCE LIGHTS UP THE BIATHLON TRACK AT SOCHI 2014

Agrate Brianza (MB), February 13, 2014 - Fael LUCE, the leading company in supplying of innovative and sustainable lighting systems, is the protagonist of SOCHI 2014 - Olympic Winter Games, with the enlightenment of the Biathlon track.

This winter sport combines two disciplines: the cross-country skiing and the small-caliber rifle shooting on stationary targets. The athletes have to walk cross-country skiing with rifle on their shoulders, a predetermined kilometric distance and then stop at polygon area where they perform a series of shots on a target. A sport that dates back to very ancient hunting traditions of northern peoples, 5000 years ago.

In this project the lighting design we should consider the complexity of the structure dedicated to this sport, which consists of a central area dedicated to the stadium and the slopes around, with the cross-country skiing track, the shooting area, the starting and arrival area.
